Training Program Overview

Our school bus driver training program is designed to be flexible and thorough, typically taking between 6 and 8 weeks. We closely monitor each trainee's progress to ensure you gain the knowledge and skills needed to pass all Delaware Department of Motor Vehicle requirements and to excel as one of our professional school bus drivers.

Training Schedule:

  • Duration: 6 to 8 weeks

  • Days: Monday through Friday

  • Location: At our bus yard and on the road with our certified trainers.

School Bus Instruction:

  • Learn the rules of safe school bus operation

  • Understand the components and parts that allow you to operate a school bus.

  • Understand how to interact effectively with passengers

  • Receive comprehensive company orientation about policies and protocols.

Behind the Wheel Training:

  • Gain hands-on driving experience with our expert trainers

  • Build confidence in your driving and parking skills

  • Obtain all necessary knowledge and skills to pass the DMV road test
